ArtNest Residency exists to share the art and culture of Africa with the world, and to create international and multicultural projects for social good. Led by Artistic Director Paul Wairoma and international, volunteer staff, we seek to make connections with artists, arts administrators, and arts advocates around the world to create art that is powerful, meaningful, and that brings us together.

We are passionate about:

  • Cultural exchange programs between Africa and those in the global African diaspora
  • Working creatively and interactively with people who have diverse social and neurological needs
  • Creating digital content to better share the arts and culture of Africa, and connect with global partners
  • Leading an African Think Tank to help fund scholarships, art projects, and to promote artists

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
